To do things, and to take part again after a Brain Injury is hard.

After my own TBI (1988), I had to rebuild all of that.
--> This came to me in two stages;
-learning to be with, then to then work with people. As well as
-to learn that needed in prep for work.

Both these came slowly.

WHAT HELPED ME
I did creative work for myself and in community.
Included work with other disabled- and brain injured- peers.
=>Learned lots.

NOW WANT TO HELP OTHER TBI/ABI SURVIVORS.

->Set up=> 'HICupARThi-st'<-
based on what helped me.
This peer-support shares how learning to DO things needs two sides;
-to Work with others;
needed are to listen, to remember, to resume, deal with one-to-one, then to work with, then in groups.
-that needs focus, memory, use of hands, learning to resume and may be even change things, helps work.

Just found out about Disabled People User-ed Orgaisations (DPULOs) that receive Lib/Conservative Government backing.

WANT TO DO THAT, AND SET UP, A SCOTTISH (EDINBURGH-BASED) DPULO.
Can anybody help?
